Models Own Artstix Nail Polish Duo in 'Jade Flakes'

First of all, let me apologise for the lack of posts recently. University is starting to wind down so i'm finishing off final assignments and ensuring everything is done for when I eventually move back home for the summer. As well as this, i've suffered from quite bad skin due to stress these past few weeks, so i've refrained from taking photos as i'm just not feeling really comfortable with the way i'm looking right now. But anyway, pity party over!

As a student (And as a girl in general), I love a bargain. What I also love are products that provide combinations, making it a full-proof way of ensuring you get it right every time. The Artstix Nail Polish Duo from Models Own is one of those products! They've jumped on the 'double-ended polish' bandwagon, which sees a base coat paired with either a polish with a nail-art brush or a nail effect top coat.

'Jade Flakes' is just one of eight combinations from Models Own, but with the inclusion of 'Snowflakes' from the Wonderland Collection it quickly became a must-have.

(I am well aware that my nail painting skills are not great!)

For £6 this product is ideal for someone looking to explore new shades without breaking the bank, as fullsized bottles of these two polishes alone cost £5 each. However, when using a glitter top coat its easy to end up using a lot of product just trying to get the desired effect seen on the bottle. With its large flakes, I ended up having to use three coats on each nail, resulting in a quarter of the bottle being used in one application. The top coat also has an extremely thick consistency, meaning that because of the layering (And I tried to thin it as much as possible without losing the flakes) it began to chip straight away and created bubbles on the surface of the nail which ruined the overall effect!

Overall it's a gorgeous combination and I had no problems with the application or the coverage of the 'Jade Stone' polish. However, the inclusion of the top coat meant that the polish latest just over 24 hours. I'm open to trying different Artstix as every one is different, however I feel i'm more likely to just use the base coat in the future as the top coat is extremely disappointing.

You can purchase Artstix Nail Polish Duos from your local Boots, or online here for £6.

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in 'Green Berry'

Everybody loves a bit of neon! Don't deny it, on a dreary day a pop of colour is exactly what we all need! However, at this moment in time i'm not quite ready to step out of myself in a pair of luminous yellow flatforms, so i'll be sticking to changing up my nail colour.

Gelly Hi Shine is one of Barry M's newest 'Effect' products, aiming to leave nails with an ultra glossy finish with their gel effect polishes. With 13 different colours on offer, from pastel pink to vibrant oranges, this range is perfect for incorporating lashings of neon to an otherwise plain outfit. I chose Green Berry as I wanted an easier transition from my usual matte pastels to full-on 'out there' nails!

The polish applies easily and only requires a single coat to achieve the same quality of colour as it is in the bottle. The 'hi-shine' element is definitely spot-on, however I found that it started chipping within two days, and after five I had to remove as it has removed completely from half of my nails. But isn't the colour ah-mazing?! So vibrant and fun, its just a shame it doesn't last as long as I would have expected.  For £3.99 I don't mind adding a few touch up's to keep my nails looking fresh ... the colour and finish makes the extra effort worth it!

You can purchase products from the Gelly Hi Shine range at your local Boots, Superdrug or from their official website here.

Essie's 'A List'

Happy 2013 everyone!

I haven't made any formal resolutions this year, only to ensure that I don't put this blog on the back-burner like I have done for the last part of 2012. Throughout my time at University, this has been the one thing that has essentially kept me sane and reminded me of why I put myself through the stress that I do. Now, that's enough with the sentimental stuff!

Essie* have been a brand that I have been meaning to try for a long time. Being a bright and matte obsessive, usually it's Barry M that immediately catches my attention. But as more and more people have jumped on the burgendy bandwagon, I knew this would be a perfect opportunity to try another brand - so here is Essie's A List*.

As you can see, it's a gorgeously deep burgundy/red that is perfect to depict to depict the warmth of the holiday season. Comparing the product in the bottle to the nail it matches perfectly, ensuring there wouldn't be the nasty surprise of a different colour on your nail to what you first thought.
I applied two very thin coats, and the colour covered perfectly and didn't chip for at least a week after application.

I can officially say i've been converted to Essie polishes, due to their excellent quality and choice of colours. For £7.99 these are polishes that I will buy sparingly, but in comparison to Nails Inc polishes that are approx £10, the quality is exactly the same in my opinion.

Glossy, pigmented and glides effortlessly onto the nail, 'A List'* has been my go-to colour this holiday and I can't wait to try out more colours in Essie's product range! Hope you had an excellent Christmas and New Year!

You can purchase Essie's 'A List' amoungst other colours from your local Boots, or online here.

Guest Post: Peter Pan Collar Nails by Charlotte Daisy Lewis!

Nail art can be a fun and original way to join in with the latest trends - Peter pan collars have been very popular this summer and I have seen them every where, on the most stylish celebs, and now, on my nails! I am really pleased with the overall effect and think it looks pretty cute. So here's hows to do it:

Paint your nails with a good base coat to protect them (I use China Glaze). Allow to dry.
Then, with white varnish (Natural Collection), paint the top part of your nails leaving a sort-of semi-circle clear at the cuticle. Repeat on all nails, or on just one hand if you want to re-create the black/white contrasting look I have. Allow to dry.
Using black nail varnish (Rimmel) and a very small paint brush create a line down the middle of the nail (excluding the semi-circle) and a sort-of 'm' shape on top of the white and paint the rest of the nail, this should leave a little white collar under the plain semi-circle (this is going to look like skin, so the neck above the collar). Repeat. Allow to dry.

For the little buttons I used a gold polish (OPI) and a dotting tool (the head of a pin will do) and carefully placed three very small dots under each 'collar'. Repeat and allow to dry. Cover all nails with a decent top coat (China Glaze). If you want to create the contrasting look just use these same instructions but with black for the collar instead of white etc.

And you're done!

---------------------------------------------------------------------
There you have it, a super-easy design that you can recreate in any colour combination - although the classic white and black is a must-do for trying it out first time. I've never really thought of doing guest posts, but seeing Charlotte's (We call her Chaz!) amazing nail art designs, I knew I just had to get her to do something for Sophie Says! Hopefully she'll be back to do some more guest posts, but if you want to keep track of her latest designs, you can follow her Facebook page - trust me, you need to see what this girl can come up with!

Nails in 'Junk Yard' By Louise Gray

I'll admit, before her collaboration with Topshop, I had never heard of Louise Gray. Since educating myself, i've learnt that she is renowned for her love of colour, texture and all things fun and this is definitely echoed in her makeup collection.

An eclectic mix of nail polishes, eye colours and lipsticks (With a gorgeous pastel brush set thrown in for good measure!) I was instantly drawn to the bold colours - though I must admit the purple and pink eye cream duo's are a bit too 'out there' for my liking. However, the nail polishes are what really caught my eye. Blue is a key colour this season, and instead of jumping straight to the eyeliner or mascara, I thought i'd start small with this pop of colour.

'Junk Yard' is a gorgeous electric blue mixed with different sized flecks of blue glitter. This polish can be worn alone or ontop of another polish, so in order to ensure the strength of the blue I generously applied two coats of 'Junk Yard' over Rimmel's I Love Long Lasting Finish in 'Azure' so my nails were thoroughly coated in glitter. They are quite attention grabbing, so be sure that your nails are of equal length and stay chip-free with a quality top coat - this shade isn't for the faint hearted! This is generally a gorgeous colour that also looks amazing on the shelf (I especially love the snowflake shapes on the bottle, it reminds me of christmas!), and for £6.50 i'll definitely be treated myself to the other shades in the collection.

On a personal note, I attended the Louise Gray show at London Fashion Week today along with Mark Fast, it was my first show and I loved it - so fun, unique and playful, along with free champagne and Pixie Geldoff in the front row! I took plenty of snaps, so check out my twitter!

You can purchase the Louise Gray Topshop range online here, or in your local Topshop store.

Ciate Caviar Pearls

I'm not usually a fan of bloggers wishlists, especially when they change from week to week - almost as if they'd just put it together for the sake of a post. However, this has been stuff i've had my eye on for a long time, and i've decided to put them together as a couple of these are wardrobe staples that I think everyone will admire. The nail caviar will be more within my reach than the other items (The YSL arty ring will have to wait for a few months!) but trust me, they will be mine eventually! I'm absolutely dying to get hold of the white blazer for when I start my internship, blazers are such a essential part of my wardrobe so it's sort-of necessary! Winning the lottery right now would be perfect :P

What's your favourite thing from this wishlist?

Review: Models Own 'Disco Mix'

I'm always a little hesitant about buying glitter polish, purely because it is such a hassle to remove. Even with the Bourjois Paris Magic Nail Polish Remover to help me along, the polish needs to be extra special for me to decide to go against my initial feelings and try it.

After seeing it on a lot of llymlrs' posts, I decided that Models Own Disco Mix could possibly be the polish that would encourage me to love glitter again. I'm such a huge fan of Models Own polishes, purely because there is such an enormous variety of not just matte colours, they have a wide selection of chrome finish, shimmers, glitters, metals, crackle and of course, all the colours you need for a perfect french manicure.

This colour is just so gorgeous, I had to have it. With flecks of blue, purple and pink, it looks incredible when the light hits your nails and can be worn over the top of so many different colours.

First off, i'm sorry for the bad quality of the picture. I took it with my iPhone a few days after I painted them and then forgot to take another one with my actual camera before taking it off! My nails were in a really bad condition then because i'd just had my acrylics taken off,  but as you can see i've teamed it with a gorgeous dark blue (From the Rimmel I <3 Long Lasting range) and I really like how it turned out.
The polish itself is neither gloppy or messy, and two light coats is certainly enough to coat an already painted nail, but one more coat would have covered it completely (it's not good to go over 3 coats, otherwise your polish is too thick and you'll be able to peel it straight off with your fingers!). It's perfect for adding a touch of sparkle to a plain outfit - I like to wear glitter polish to work as my uniform is all black, boring! It also dries extremely quickly, which is an added bonus for people like me that are too impatient to wait around!

I highly recommend this shade if your into glitter, and don't be as hesitant with the idea of it being tough to remove like I was - I'll be posting a 'how-to remove glitter polish' tutorial very soon! :)

You can purchase Models Own Disco Mix for the bargain price of £5 at your local Boots, Models Own shop or online here.

If you like this shade as much as I do, you could win it along with another shade of your choice, a Tangle Teezer, Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in a shade of your choice, and another little surprise in my first giveaway!

Review: Topshop Temporary Nail Tattoos!

Better late than never, right?

To be honest, although this product has been out a while, it's still pretty new to me as it's not actually stocked in my local Topshop so i've had to go online and wait for it to be back in stock before I could get my hands on it.

These nail tattoos are part of Topshop's Sisters of the New Moon make-up collection (Read my review on the Magic Eyeliner from the collection here.), which has a mixture of metallic polishes, bright coral and pink lipsticks contrasting with dramatic black liners and bold mascara to create a distinctly unique look that is completely fashion-forward.

The pack contains two sheets of different tattoos in various sizes so they are perfect for any length of nail. The designs are mostly astrological signs, but there are a few pretty swallows, stars and moons thrown in there. My personal favourites are the swallows :) The pack contains 86 tattoos in 10 different designs, so you can choose whether to stick to a specific pattern or go completely random with them.

Here's how they turned out:

As you can see, my nail painting skills are not at their best, but you get the gist! I'm so happy with the way they turned out. I did my right thumb and index finger first, as you can see there are a few mistakes and the tattoos actually cracked a little, but I still love them! For the base I used 'Matte White' from Barry M, which I thought was ideal to directly contrast the designs. They are a bit fiddly if you don't have a steady hand! You need to cut around the desired design, remove the plastic backing, transfer onto the nail using a wet cloth and then remove the paper backing. However, if you can't remove the backing or your hands shake while pressing down on the transfer it could affect the turnout, as mine did at the beginnning.

However, once you get the hang of it it's great! The tattoos dry in seconds, and the whole process took about 15 minutes, due to my clumsy fingers not being able to cut around the designs properly! These temporary nail tattoos are perfect for people who aren't so good with a nail striper or nail art pen, who want precise and quirky designs that are easy to apply and look great! I will definitely be buying more of these, but for £7 i'll make sure i've used up every last one of the designs before doing so. There are a few tiny designs which are good for little fingers that would be excellent to use on your toes too!

Topshop Temporary Nail Tattoos are only available in selected Topshop stores (Your most likely to find them in London and places like that!), so your best bet is to purchase them online.

What do you think? Will they catch on, or are they too gimmicky for your taste?

Review: Bourjois Paris 'Magic Nail Polish Remover'

I've seen photographs of this product everywhere and have been so anxious to get my hands on it! So here's a little review on Bourjois Paris' Magic Nail Polish Remover.

We all know Bourjois as bright and bubbly make up brand that specialise in creating products that 'simplify beauty', which is why I wasn't surprised when they realised a nail polish remover tub that claimed to deliver instant removal. I'm a massive fan of Bourjois. Their 'little round pots' of blush and eyeshadow come in such gorgeous colours, and are so compact which is great for storage. I wanted to test this product ultimately for when I use glitter nail polish. Although wrapping your nails in foil is effective, it is also extremely fiddly and annoying. So I decided to put it to the test.

First off, do not be fooled by the 'Red fruit & Vanilla Fragrance' at the bottom. Yes, there is a scent left on your fingers after usage, but don't do what I did and inhale straight from the pot. It is not good. It smells disgusting and I went dizzy!

The makeup remover is both paraben and acetone free which is always a bonus, so you're not damaging your hands and nails with nasty chemicals. The hot pink pot instructs that all you need to do to remove your nail polish is a quick dip and twist in the sponge.

I tested the remover using Barry M's 'Matte White' followed by OPI's 'Rainbow Connection:

Before:

After:

As you can see the nail polish has been removed but the glitter remains. I did remove my nail after 1 second to see if it did remove it, and to be honest only about half of it had been removed. However, I do blame the tough layer of glitter over the top, and after another quick dip and twist the remainder of the polish had vanished. I left my nail to soak for 30 seconds to see if it loosened up the glitter, but sadly it did not. I still had to use a cotton pad and a ton of nail polish remover, which completely defeats the object of the product.

However, it does not say it is recommended for glitter polish. I do also think it would remove fine flecks of glitter, not the large pieces that you can see on my nail.

For £4.99 it is perfect for quick removal of plain polish. It's easy to use, nice to look at and leaves a citrus fragrance on your nails after completion. I will definitely be using again, but if you're looking for something to remove tough glitter polish, I suggest you stick with the foil.

Bourjois Paris 'Magic Nail Polish Remover' is available from any Bourjois concession stand.

March Obsession: Candy Coloured Nails!

It's no surprise that candy colours have become the go-to trend this year, with the Queen's trademark pastel two pieces making regular appearances in our magazines and on our television sets due to her Jubilee Tour. So here's my contribution, candy nails!

I used these colours:

1. Misty Jade - Rimmel London   2. Pure Turquoise - Barry M   3. Strawberry Ice Cream - Barry M   4. Berry Ice Cream - Barry M

I used mint for my middle finger as it's by far the best of the pastel colours this season, and it's always great to go back to your inner-child and paint each nail a different colour like I know I used to when I thought that wearing as many different colours as possible was the key to good style!

Barry M is by far the best place for pastel nail paint, and you could even go one step further by painting your nails white and then applying some pastel nail crackle on top?

Happy painting!

Sparkly Barbie-esque tips + Uni update!

Hello all!
I've realised I haven't posted in a few days and it's been a target of mine to post at least once every two to three days. However, i've recently had a lot of university assignments to prepare for (With one being assessed tomorrow in front of a group and two lecturers, scary!) I've also worked over the weekend and went to a press launch of 'How do you solve a problem like Maria' winner Connie Fisher's new show 'Wonderful Town' at the Mayflower Theatre.

I do promise I will have some posts up by next week, as I have a package from Temporary Secretary to look forward to when I get back to Bournemouth tomorrow, and a couple of makeup and face mask reviews!

For now, I wanted to show you my latest nail polish choice:

I've gone for sparkly Barbie-esque pink! I realise that the tips look absolutely huge and even though they've always been this size they look really big! But I love them! They have flecks of pink glitter underneath the acrylic and look gorgeous when they catch the light. It hurt quite a bit when she was putting on the acrylic because she had to file down the layers on the tips so that the pink sparkly acrylic was even.. it felt like my fingers were on fire :(

I'm stuck at what to do with them next time .. I might leave them plain so I can go to London and get my nails done at Wah nails!

Hope you've all had a great weekend, and keep those page views coming .. Sophie Says is well on it's way to 3,000 views :)

Coming Soon: China Glaze "Colours From The Capitol" Hunger Games Collection

I think I have died and gone to heaven. The Hunger Names is not only being made into a movie - it's being made into nail polish.

Nail Polish professionals China Glaze have teamed up with Liongate to create an exclusive collection of nail polishes inspired by the Capitol - The first and most lavish of the 12 districts in the nation of Panem, in The Hunger Games.

China Glaze has been providing salon standard nail polishes and nailcare products for over 13 years, and are renowned for their exclusive limited edition collections, and this one is no exception.

Here's what the press release has to say:
"In keeping with the powerful themes and messages of the story, the collection of nail polish will be inspired exclusively by one of the book’s distinct settings- the Capitol of the nation of Panem. Awash in lavish fashion, food, and entertainment, Capitol citizens enjoy extreme cosmetics and body modifications, bold wigs, and outlandish costumes."

So..here are the colours:

*Image - chinaglaze.com*

For those who have read the books.. aren't they the most perfectly suited shades to reflect Capitol fashion?
And for those who haven't .. Why haven't you read the books?!
I cannot wait to get my hands on this entire collection. Electrify reminds me of the colour of Katniss' dress in the opening ceremony of The Hunger Games, with Stone Cold and Dress Me Up remind me of the understated beauty of District 12's key characters such as Katniss, Prim, Peeta and Gale. These are gorgeously subtle colours that are so versatile.

Luxe And Lush will be a fun shade to try, as it's a clear polish that's painted over a nail and leaves flakes of glitter.
My only criticism is that they shouldn't have stopped there! It would have been great to see perhaps a shade representing each district, or just general colours inspired by the entire book series, not just the Capitol.

As you've probably guessed I am counting down the days until March 23rd when The Hunger Games hits UK theatres, with the "Colours From The Capitol" collection being released a few weeks beforehand on March 1st .. that should keep me going for a while!

Zebra print french tips

Happy Tuesday! Hope you're all having a good week so far. I got off to a good start this week by going to get my nails infilled at my local Nails 2 Nails, and decided i'd keep to the animal print theme as I love it so much :) As you can see, I went for the zebra print and it's extremely simple for you all to do at home:
Use a black nail art brush/pen (Or even a liquid eyeliner as I sometimes use!) and paint four stripes, two either side of the nail, slightly curving into one another.
Then use a silver glitter nail art brush to trace the lines in the gaps between the four black lines.
Simple! Zebra print nails :)

They're absolutely gorgeous and i'm already trying to think of my next design!

Leopard Print French Tips + Uni Update!

Hi all :) Hope everyone's having fun settling back in to uni or their normal routine after the Christmas break! I've had a fair few days of stress and hard work, balancing University work with working basically full-time. Today I had to do a presentation and hand in a huge portfolio, and I am so exhausted. We've also put down the booking fee for a really nice 9 bedroom house, but once that's been sorted i'll go into more detail.

I thought i'd show you all my new leopard print nails that I got done yesterday :) I went to a place called Nails 2 Nails in my city centre, and spent £25 getting acrylics and choosing whatever pattern I want! I chose french tips because they're simple and classy, but couldn't resist having some leopard spots over the top! The whole process took 30 minutes, which was insanely quick! I now know that i'd be able to go get my nails done on my lunch break without being worried about being pushed for time :)

Next time I get infills I fancy another pattern, any ideas?

Review: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat

This is the first review i've done where things haven't done what have been promised. I heard great reviews from other blogs about this, and Sally Hansen has always been so reliable when it comes to nail care and repair. I originally bought this because I am constantly wary of smudging freshly polished nails even after a few hours. You can paint them so carefully and they look as though they were done professionally, but as soon as you come into contact with anything else they are ruined.

You apply the Insta-Dri as a topcoat on top of touch-dry polished nails, and within 60 seconds your nails are dry. This aspect of the product is true, and it is because of this that I will continue to use it. What it does not deliver is the 'Anti-Chip' aspect. Within a day and a half I had already had chips in two of my nails. It may seem that i'm expecting a lot, but when something claims to be 'Anti-Chip' you expect it to last for more than a day? They've lasted a little bit longer than other top coat, I just wouldn't expect too much from it.

However, the Insta-Dri factor is enough to keep me reasonably happy :) I purchased it for £6, and for someone that doesn't want to use aerosol drying sprays for environmental reasons I think this is quite reasonable. Plus I love the colour of the bottle, and it's really easy to spot in my nail polish box!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat can be purchased for £6.15 at Boots or Superdrug.

Organising Your Nail Polish

After adding five new polishes to my collection (I am in the process of reviewing, honest!) I came to the conclusion that it was taking me too long to pick a colour because it's impossible to tell which one is which by just looking at the lids whilst they're in the box. So I decided to try something really quick and easy to organise my polishes better.

I cut paper up into small squares (Lined paper was easier because I don't have a good eye for straight edges!) and put a small dot of polish onto it, and left it to dry. After a few hours, I went back and sellotaped it onto the top of the bottle. It really doesn't take long to do, but obviously it is quite fiddly if you're a bit clumsy like me! But now, I can easily find my perfect nail polish by simply looking at the dots on the tops of the bottles. Nice and simple :)

Review: OPI's Muppet Collection - Rainbow Connection

The one thing i've been the happiest about by living in Bournemouth is the fact that there's a Sally's just round the corner, with a revolving stand that's taller than me filled with OPI nail polishes. If no one knows about OPI, it's a brand of nail polish that sells to various salons worldwide. It's internationally known, with celebrities such as the Kardashians, Katy Perry and even Justin Bieber (?!?!) releasing limited edition collections.

I was flicking through my October issue of Glamour when I saw that OPI were releasing a limited edition collection of nail polishes inspired by the Muppet Movie. And instantly I was attracted to the brightest, most 'out-there' polish - rainbow glitter. Typical me.
So here's what it looks like on:

As you can see, my nail painting skills aren't perfect, but to be honest i blame the polish. Because it's flecks of glitter and other bits and bobs it's quite difficult to get an even coverage like you would with block colour polish. But to be honest, I don't care - it looks amazing!
It's my 20th birthday next week and i'm having a 90's party - this will look amazing with my union jack dress (Can you guess who i'm being?) The bottle also looks gorgeous; I keep it out on my dressing table just because it's so pretty to look at. Definitely the perfect polish for the festive season!

OPI nail polishes retail for £10.50, but if you aren't as impatient as me I would seriously recommend looking around online - just be careful that you're not buying a fake! Only buy from well trusted sellers.

DIY: Leopard print nails!

After looking at nail art designs on various other blogs (Such as chyaz) I came across a very easy leopard print pattern that seemed so fail-safe that even someone with a shaky hand like me could give it a try. So here's how it went:
I did my younger sisters in the traditional leopard print colours, and then experimented with bright blue and white and I absolutely love how it turned out :) All you need is two colours and a black liquid eyeliner - genius! Was thinking of doing a video tutorial or something, but depends what peoples thoughts are. Do you like them?

My Favourite Christmas Nail Polish!

Nail Polish in Shade 36, Accessorize - £4

If this doesn't get you in the Christmas spirit, I don't know what will. I was in London on Monday doing an interview, and decided to browse Accessorize in Waterloo Station to pass the time before my train arrived. I usually don't like going into Accessorize, as I tend to forget that I have a budget and buy anything I can get my hands on. I found this amongst the dull shades by the till (To be honest, they were that dull but in comparison to this colour..), and for £4 I could not say no.

I had to use two coats to completely cover the nail, and each coat took just over a minute to dry which is rare for such an inexpensive polish. What I love most about this shade, is that what you see is what you get. Although my nail painting skills aren't the best since my nails became short, you can see that the colour on my nails is exactly the same as it is in the bottle.

Whenever I look at my fingers I instantly think of Christmas, which is enough to cheer me up any day :) All in all, a wise purchase and I will definitely be going back to Accessorize for more colours.

Review: Revlon 'Top Speed' Nail Enamel in Emerald

I think I said it in a post before that I was trying to expand my nail polish collection (I've been going from buying at least 3 a week to buying one a month!) and that I was lacking in greens. So, I was feeling pretty festive as I browsed the make-up aisles in Boots and came across this gorgeous matte green polish from Revlon. I always think you can't go wrong with a strong matte colour as they always look just amazing on your nails as they do on the bottle. By the way, because it's night there is no natural light,so the flash makes the colour slightly lighter than it actually is, it's a forest green!

The bottle claims it only needs one coat, and that it takes 60 seconds to dry, and it's completely right! First off, I hate still being able to see the nail underneath the polish, it's just pointless! But after applying (Quite liberally, just incase!) quickly there was no hint of my natural nail in sight. I was precise enough to actually time the drying time to see if it was over a minute, and by 60s my nails were bone dry. Result :)

Please ignore my temporarily short nails, they keep breaking off because they're getting too long! As you can see it's a gorgeous woody green, and reminds me of the colour of a Christmas tree :)
It retails at £6.49 from Boots, which I think it's amazing as the application took two minutes, and the drying time is only a minute.

Excellent value for someone like me whose always on the go and can't afford to be wasting time blowing on my nails to make them dry! I recommend 100 percent.
